About CshmgPet care journalism
Pet care journalism
built on integrity
Cshmg is an independent online publication covering pet care, animal health, nutrition, training, and wellness. We exist to help pet owners make better decisions for their furry companions every day.
Who We Are
Cshmg is an independent pet care publication founded in 2024. We publish explainers and practical guides covering the products, health topics, and care practices that matter to pet owners.
The site focuses on clear, accessible information that helps readers ask better questions and make informed decisions. Health content is educational and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified veterinarian.
Our Story
Cshmg was launched in 2024 in response to a familiar problem for pet owners: it had become increasingly difficult to find clear, useful information about the products and care practices for our beloved companions. Marketing copy and search-optimized listicles had crowded out the kind of careful, hands-on reporting that helps people make confident decisions about their pets.
We started Cshmg to fix that. Our editorial charter is intentionally narrow: we only publish content we can stand behind, we only review products we have actually used, and we only make recommendations we would be willing to act on ourselves. If we cannot test something properly, we say so.
Our coverage spans six core pet care categories. We remain committed to the principles that shaped the site at launch: accuracy, independence, and respect for the reader.

Our Values
Integrity, accuracy, independence, curiosity, and respect for our readers guide every editorial decision. We believe good journalism is a service, not a marketing channel.

How We Work
Our Editorial Process
Every article on Cshmg moves through a documented editorial workflow designed to maximize accuracy and minimize bias.
Research
Topic selection based on reader interest, industry relevance, and search trends.
Hands-On Testing
Pet products are tested with real pets in real-world conditions over multiple days, not just unboxed.
Writing
Articles turn the research into clear, practical guidance for pet owners.
Editorial Review
Every piece is reviewed by a second editor for accuracy, clarity, and fairness.
Fact-Checking
All veterinary claims, nutritional data, and product specifications are verified against primary sources.
Publication & Updates
We publish, then revisit. Articles are updated as new research emerges, products evolve, and prices change.
Editorial Standards
Every article published on Cshmg is the product of a multi-step editorial workflow designed to maximize factual accuracy, technical precision, and editorial independence. Our standards apply equally to news articles, product reviews, sponsored content, and opinion pieces.
Our fact-checking and review process includes:
- Hands-on testing of every product we review, over multiple days of real-world use.
- Independent verification of all technical specifications, pricing, and benchmark data.
- Review by a second editor with subject-matter expertise prior to publication.
- Clear labeling of sponsored content, affiliate links, and material relationships.
- Regular updates to published articles as products evolve and new information emerges.
- Prompt publication of corrections and clarifications when errors are identified.
- Strict separation between advertising and editorial decision-making.
We do not accept payment for product reviews, rankings, or editorial coverage. When a product has been provided to us by a manufacturer for review, we disclose that fact clearly in the article. Our opinions are our own and are never subject to approval by an advertiser or partner prior to publication.
What We Stand For
Our Editorial Values
Accuracy First
Every claim is fact-checked. Every product is hands-on tested. Every article is reviewed by a subject matter expert before publication. We prioritize being right over being first.
Editorial Independence
Commercial relationships do not determine the conclusions or recommendations presented in our content.
Reader Trust
We disclose every material relationship. We label sponsored content clearly. We correct errors promptly. Our reputation is built on the trust our readers place in us.
Accessibility
Pet care can be overwhelming, but we make it simple. We write for pet owners at every experience level, avoiding jargon when plain language will do the job better.
